ARIZONA WILDLIFE

Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Release Arizona Wildlife

Welcome to Southwest Wildlife - a sanctuary, veterinarian clinic, and rehab center for approximately 200-300 Native Arizona wild animals!

Southwest Wildlife is home to two primary categories of animals - releasable and non-releasable. The majority of our non-releasable animals can be seen on the tour route within our sanctuary - learn more about these animals here

This section of our website is dedicated to rescued Arizona Wildlife - meaning non-sanctuary animals that are rescued, rehabbed, and released back into the Sonoran Desert. These animals are not present on our tour: we limit human contact to keep them as wild as possible. This means you will not be able to see these animals when visiting.

The purpose of these pages is to provide education on Native Arizona Wildlife. Many of the animals found on our Sanctuary Wildlife pages are also present within our rehab and release program.

Navigate through the menu to the left to view information on raccoons, northern American porcupines, spotted skunks, hooded skunks, striped skunks, hognose skunks, American badgers, American beavers, ocelots, and Virginia opossums.
