Marketing Coordinator Position


The Marketing Coordinator promotes Southwest Wildlife and its mission, brand, and vision; provides marketing support to promote events, activities, and fundraising campaigns; and offers opportunities for fundraising through social media. This is a part-time, contract position with flexible hours that can include some work from home, to be determined between applicant and Southwest Wildlife.


Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Manage Social Media marketing programs: 

o  Facebook – create at least five posts/week. Respond promptly and appropriately to comments left on Facebook page. Increase the number of Likes, shares, and money donated from Facebook page

o  Instagram – develop and update Instagram posts in conjunction with Facebook posts as appropriate

·       Work with existing volunteers to ensure the writing, editing, design, and production of two print newsletters/year – the annual report issue in the spring and a fall issue  

·       Manage website and any updates needed to web pages 

·       Work with staff to coordinate and promote online giving on Arizona Gives Day and Giving Tuesday

·       Coordinate email marketing campaigns including copy, scheduling, testing, and database management

·       Write/update/produce new and existing brochures, direct mail copy, advertising and other marketing content as needed and requested  

·       Manage relationship with Rose Moser Allen (public relations agency) and feed p.r. story ideas to agency at least monthly  

·       Secure photos and video of animals and activities for marketing content (either by personally taking them or working with staff or volunteers to take them)

·       Serve as liaison for media inquiries (providing information, photos, arranging access); meet and accompany media during site visits

·       Explore and recommend additional marketing opportunities 



·       Experience and/or education in marketing/marketing assistance

·       Knowledge of and experience using social media to promote a business or cause

·       Knowledge and experience with email marketing and managing website content

·       Excellent writing skills 

·       Excellent interpersonal skills

·       Video, photography, design skills helpful
