Education Department Assistant

Position Description:

The Education Department Assistant will work closely with the Education Specialist to ensure the department’s administrative tasks are accomplished, and serve as an office manager for the department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Answering and responding to the Education Department general phone line

·       Responding to Education Department general emails

·       Maintaining the website and event calendar 

·       Designing and sending mass emails with direction from the Education Specialist

·       Scheduling and registration of tours and updating tour rosters

·       Coordination of school communications per protocol

·       Database entries and record keeping including use of Volgistics

·       Assistance with tours and events as needed

·       Other support as directed by the Education Specialist


·       Accurate and detail-oriented; well organized

·       Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)

·       Experience in developing spreadsheets and reports

·       Data entry experience

·       Excellent interpersonal skills, including phone

·       Flexible, able to switch between tasks
