Rehabilitating Wildlife - Rehabilitation

The goal of Southwest Wildlife is to provide each animal an opportunity to return to the wild as safely and quickly as possible with minimal human contact.

Our goal is to provide each animal an opportunity to return to the wild as safely and quickly as possible with minimal human contact.

Southwest Wildlife has:

  • an on-site medical care center;
  • full-time consultation services and volunteer dispatch teams that immediately respond to wildlife emergencies;
  • taken in thousands of injured, orphaned, or confiscated wild animals; and
  • released over 70% of the animals we care for back to their rightful place in the wild.

Rehabilitation may include complicated surgery, which must be followed by round-the-clock care during the recovery period. Medicating and caring for a sick or injured wild animal can be quite complicated!
